Program Introduction:

The Asian Institute of Technology promotes technological change and sustainable development in the Asian-Pacific region through higher education, research and outreach. Established in Bangkok in 1959, AIT has become a leading regional postgraduate institution and is actively working with public and private sector partners throughout the region and with some of the top universities in the world.

Recorgnized for its multinational, multi - cultural environment, the Institute operates as a self - contained international community at its campus located 40 km north of Bangkok, Thailand.  AIT's first outreach center was opened in Vietnam since 1993.

Target Applicants

The AIT PMSE targets IT professionals without strong academic backgrounds in software engineering that would like to improve their qualifications so as to move into managerial, architectural, and system analyst positions in software development organizations.

Program structure:

Main features of the Program

• AIT Professional Master Degree (for professionals who have at least 3 years of work experience)
• Taught by AIT Faculty
• Practical curriculum
• Duration: 1 year with possible extension
• Classes are delivered in the evenings and on weekends
• Graduation at AIT Bangkok Thailand
• Students can take any course as a certificate course and accumulate certificates toward the AIT Degree.

Entry requirement :

English Entry requirement: AIT is an international institute with English as the sole language of instruction. Admission to AIT requires proof of English language proficiency which may be satisfied in any of the following:

• IELTS (4.5)
• TOEFL (Paper - based: 500; Computer-based:173; or Internet-based: 61)
• AITEIT (4.5). Applicants can apply for English Test offered by AIT at AIT-VN. English Test fee:  20 USD

English Training Program: AIT-VN  will conduct 7 week intensive English training for those who need more English and academic skills before joining the program. The English Training Program also guide participants how to conduct AITEIT.

Entry requirement

To be eligible for admission to the AIT Professional Master Degree Program, an applicant must:

• Hold a Bachelor degree (normally from a four-year program), or its equivalent, in an appropriate field of study in a related field such as computer science, computer engineering, or information technology.
• Have strong undergraduate grades.
• Have good command of English
• At least three year of working experience

Fee & Scholarships :

Tuition fee can be paid as 3 installments and at the beginning of each semester. Total tuition fee: USD 12,050; including tuition fee (USD350/credit), registration fee, graduation at AIT). Break down of tuition fee are:

Tuition fee for 1^st semester:         350 USD X 11 credits = 3,850.00 USD

Tuition fee for 2^nd semester:         350 USD X 11 credits  =             3,850.00 USD

Tuition fee for 3^rd semester:         350 USD X 11 credits = 3,850.00 USD
