The purpose of this interactive short course is to equip non-specialists with a comprehensive understanding of what climate change may mean for low-income populations and what the scope and prospects are for adapting to change in a development context.
Participants of this short training course will gain state-of-the-art knowledge and have the opportunity to develop their analytical skills in this field through project work focusing on their own country context or professional sector.

• How can governments create incentives for mitigation?

Methodology

The course will involve interactive methods, application-oriented and interactive with exercises, discussion and presentation.

Language

Lectures and training materials will be provided in English with interpretation into Vietnamese.
 

Target participant:

This course is designed for people who want to gain a greater understanding of the implications of climate change for developing countries and the potential for adaptation. It is aimed particularly at professional staff from government agencies and NGOs who do not have existing specialisation in the field but who may have new responsibility or interest in the integration of climate change management into development planning, projects and policy.

Fee :

Schedule:        3 days, 8:30 - 11:30 am. & 1:30 - 4:30 pm.

Cost:                US$300/participant (the tuition fee includes course materials and refreshments.

Registration:    Participants need to fill in an application form and send the completed form to EDS-AITCV at least 10 days before the commencement of the course.
